Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has inaugurated two new hostels at NED University, including a girls' hostel and an international boys' hostel, as part of his government's commitment to higher education and youth development. The CM also distributed 300 Chromebooks to top-performing students of the People's Information Technology Programme (PTIP), which has trained 13,565 students and secured employment for 4,353 graduates.

The PTIP has been a success story, with notable female participation, including 40% of students at Sukkur IBA, 36% at NED, and 33.6% at MUET coming from rural backgrounds. The programme has contributed Rs. 49 million to the provincial economy and has shown a significant impact on the lives of its graduates. The CM praised the leadership of Vice Chancellors and PITP focal persons, and recognized the efforts of the Science and IT Department.

The Sindh government has allocated Rs42 billion for public-sector universities in the current financial year, the highest among all provinces. This allocation aims to support operational needs, research, infrastructure, and innovation. The CM also announced the launch of the second phase of the PTIP, PITP-II, with an expanded budget of Rs1.4 billion, which aims to train 35,000 students in 12 high-demand IT fields and generate a 40% employment rate.

The inauguration of the new hostels and the launch of PITP-II demonstrate the Sindh government's commitment to an inclusive, digitally empowered, and economically resilient Sindh. The CM's emphasis on higher education, digital empowerment, and youth development is expected to have a positive impact on the province's economy and society, ensuring that no student is left behind and no dream is too big to attain.
