PU Introduces New Discipline Policy

Punjab University has introduced a new policy to maintain discipline in its hostels, with increased fines of up to Rs20,000 for students violating hostel rules, including participation in strikes, fighting, and misbehaving with hostel staff.
The new policy also includes punishments such as cancellation of hostel allotment and departmental suspension for students found guilty of violating hostel rules. The university has displayed warning pamphlets in all hostels to inform students about the new policy. The move is aimed at maintaining a disciplined environment in the hostels and ensuring the safety and security of students.
In a separate event, Punjab University's Centre for Clinical Psychology (CCP) organized a sports day to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students, faculty, and staff. The event featured various games and competitions, including ludo, chess, and races, which were held among participants. The event was well-received, with CCP Director Prof Dr Saima Dawood expressing her delight at the overwhelming response.
