Petrol Diesel Price Updates Across India
The price adjustments are a result of fluctuations in international LPG prices, crude oil prices, and the rupee's movement against the dollar, impacting the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG across various cities in India.

Fuel prices in India experienced minor fluctuations on August 1, 2025, with notable reductions in the price of commercial LPG cylinders and variations in petrol and diesel prices across major cities.
The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders was reduced by Rs 33.50, while petrol prices ranged from ₹94.30 in Chandigarh to ₹107.46 in Hyderabad. Diesel prices also varied, with New Delhi having the lowest price at ₹86.85 and Hyderabad having the highest at ₹95.70. In Kerala, petrol was priced at ₹105.73 per litre, and diesel at ₹94.72 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) notified a 7.6% reduction in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for August, resulting in a cut of Rs209.24 in the cost of an 11.8kg domestic cylinder. The price of LPG has been set at Rs215.37 per kg for August, down from Rs233.10 in July. Consequently, the price of an 11.8kg domestic cylinder has been fixed at Rs2,541.36, compared to Rs2,750.60 last month.
The reduction in LPG prices is attributed to a 9.8% decline in Saudi Aramco's Contract Price (CP), offset slightly by a 0.38% increase in the average exchange rate. This marks the fifth consecutive month of reduced LPG prices, with the 19kg LPG cylinder prices cut by Rs 33.5 to Rs 34.5 across major metro cities.
