Maryam Nawaz Honhaar Scholarship Expands Across Provinces
The scheme's eligibility criteria, registration process, and benefits will provide students with access to quality education and digital resources, enabling them to compete in the modern world. The initiative is a testament to the government's commitment to investing in the country's youth and providing them with opportunities for growth and development.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the expansion of the 'Honhaar Scholarship Scheme' to include students from other provinces in Pakistan, with the same eligibility criteria as Punjab students, a minimum of 65% eligibility for a laptop.
The scholarship scheme, which was earlier only for Punjab students, will now be accessible to students from Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Maryam Nawaz increased the number of laptops allocated for Punjab students to 110,000 and set a minimum eligibility criteria of 65% marks to receive a laptop. The scheme includes scholarships for students in the second, third, and fourth semesters.
A special helpline will be established for students of the scholarship and laptop scheme. The Punjab CM Laptop Scheme 2025 is an initiative by the Punjab government to provide 100,000 laptops to deserving students across the province. The laptops will be distributed to students from matriculation to postgraduate levels, with a focus on students from South Punjab, who will make up 32% of the recipients.
The scheme will allocate laptops to students in the following fields: university students (20,000), college students (14,000), technical and agricultural students (4,000), and medical and dental college students (2,000). Registration for the scheme will not be done online, but rather through educational institutions. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab will validate and release the final list of selected students.
The expansion of the Honhaar Scholarship Scheme is a significant step towards providing equal access to education and technology for students across Pakistan. With the scheme's focus on enhancing educational opportunities, improving academic performance, and providing digital learning resources, it is expected to have a positive impact on the country's education sector.
