The Punjab government has also announced a nine-day Eidul Fitr holiday for schools, from March 28 to April 5, for both public and private schools, giving students and teachers time to celebrate the festival before the start of the new academic year. Government schools will reopen on April 7, while annual results will be declared on April 4.

The holiday schedules are in line with the Pakistan Meteorological Department's forecast of Eidul Fitr on March 31, with the Shawwal crescent likely to be visible on March 30. All private schools in Lahore will be closed on March 28, as notified by the district educational authority, and public schools in Punjab will remain closed from March 28 to April 6, except for teachers who will attend school to announce examination results on April 4.

The extended holidays for Eidul Fitr 2025 will provide a welcome break for government employees, students, and teachers to celebrate the festival with their loved ones and recharge before the start of the new academic year.
