The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also announced a three-day holiday on account of Eid-ul-Fitr 2025, from March 31 to April 2.

The Eid-ul-Fitr holiday is usually observed on the first day of the month of Shawwal, which is determined by the sighting of the moon. The Pakistani government has announced a three-day Eidul Fitr holiday from March 31 to April 2, 2025, subject to the announcement of the moon sighting by the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, which will take place on March 30. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted a good chance of sighting the new moon of Shawwal 1446 AH on the evening of March 30.

To facilitate passengers traveling before and after Eidul Fitr, Pakistan Railways has announced special train services. The Eidul Fitr celebrations mark the end of the month of Ramazan, a significant festival in the Islamic lunar calendar, and the extended holiday will allow students and their families to observe and celebrate this occasion with ease.

With the 9-day holiday, students in Rawalpindi can look forward to a well-deserved break and a chance to spend quality time with their loved ones during the Eidul Fitr celebrations.
