Chief Minister Asaan Karobar Card Boosts Punjab

In a series of developments, the Punjab provincial government has introduced several initiatives aimed at improving the lives of its citizens, including the approval of the Punjab Hindu Marriage Act Registration Rules 2024 and the launch of the Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme, which includes the Asaan Karobar Card.

The Punjab Hindu Marriage Act Registration Rules 2024 will provide legal protection and recognition to Hindu marriages in the province, which were previously not registered with the government. This move is seen as a significant step towards ensuring the marital rights of the Hindu population in Punjab. Ramesh Singh Arora, the Minister for Minority Affairs, welcomed the approval, stating that it gives confidence to the Hindu population and ensures their rights.

In addition to this, the Punjab Livestock & Dairy Development Department has delivered over 11,000 livestock cards to farmers under the "Chief Minister Punjab's Livestock Card" scheme, which aims to boost meat and milk production by extending financial support. The scheme has already shown promising results, with farmers making purchases worth Rs. 21 crore. The department has also reviewed the project of distributing livestock assets to rural widowed and divorced women in South Punjab, with over 110,000 women submitting applications.

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has also introduced the Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme, which provides interest-free loans ranging from Rs5 lakh to Rs3 crore for small and medium-sized enterprises. The scheme, which includes the Asaan Karobar Card, aims to promote business activities in the province. Furthermore, she has emphasized the importance of education and announced the expansion of the Honahar Scholarship Scheme, which will benefit 50,000 students next year.
