The Asan Karobar Scheme offers interest-free loans of up to Rs30 million to eligible applicants, with repayment options over five years, and provides land at subsidized rates and incentives for export-oriented industries, aiming to boost entrepreneurship and employment in Punjab.

In a bid to boost entrepreneurship and provide financial support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the Asan Karobar Scheme, a business finance scheme worth over Rs84 billion, offering interest-free loans to residents of Punjab.
The scheme, which includes the Easy Business Finance Scheme and the Easy Business Card Scheme, aims to provide interest-free loans ranging from Rs1 million to Rs30 million to eligible applicants, including men, women, transgender individuals, and persons with disabilities. The loans can be repaid in easy installments over a period of five years, with a dedicated web portal and toll-free number available for guidance and online applications.
The Punjab government's initiative is expected to benefit over 30 million potential beneficiaries, promoting entrepreneurship and providing employment opportunities for the youth. Additionally, the government will provide land at subsidized rates to start small businesses and offer incentives to set up industries in export processing zones, including free solar systems worth Rs5 million.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of SMEs as the backbone of the economy, stating that these schemes can change the destiny of Punjab and Pakistan. The launch of the Asan Karobar Scheme is a significant step towards promoting economic growth and development in the province, with a focus on supporting marginalized communities and encouraging innovation.
With the rollout of the Asan Karobar Scheme, the Punjab government is poised to create new opportunities for entrepreneurs and small business owners, driving economic growth and prosperity in the region. As the scheme gains momentum, it is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, creating jobs and stimulating innovation.
