Punjab's Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the "Nigahban Ramadan Relief Package" to support underprivileged families across the province, with registration open until February 15 through the PSER portal or at over 4,000 registration centers.
The package aims to provide relief to families in need, with eligibility criteria including a poverty score below 30% and a monthly income under 60,000 PKR. Applicants must also have a valid CNIC and be permanent residents of Punjab. Registration can be done online through the pser.punjab.gov.pk portal, and a dedicated helpline (0800-02345) has been established to assist citizens.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of transparency in handing out the package, directing officials to ensure that it reaches deserving families. She also reviewed various recommendations for the package, which is part of the government's efforts to support those in need during the holy month of Ramazan.
In a separate development, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Beijing AI Force Tech and Daewoo Pakistan for the procurement of AI-based machinery for solid waste management, as well as the establishment of an assembling and manufacturing plant for e-agriculture mechanization in Punjab.
