Radha Mohan Agarwal, Rajasthan BJP's leader, has accused the Congress party of treating the Muslim community as a vote bank, alleging that they have been exploited and relegated to second-class citizenship. In contrast, Agarwal claims that the BJP has worked to uplift the Muslim community with dignity, citing increased representation in central government jobs and benefits from various government schemes.

Agarwal highlighted the significant increase in Muslim representation in central government jobs from 5% to 9.5% under BJP rule, compared to the Congress era where Muslims were largely confined to low-paying jobs. He praised the BJP's initiatives such as PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and Jan Dhan Yojana, which have benefited the Muslim community. Additionally, Agarwal criticized the management of Waqf properties, alleging that they have been misused and misappropriated by vested interests, including Congress leaders.

The issue of Waqf properties has been a contentious one, with Agarwal citing the 2006 Sachar Committee report, which revealed large-scale misappropriation of Waqf assets. He alleged that religious and Congress leaders have historically benefited from these assets and are opposing the new Waqf reforms. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also accused opposition parties of misleading people on the Waqf law, alleging that they are resisting progressive reforms that aim to prevent arbitrary claims on properties and ensure that the income generated from Waqf assets is spent on the Muslim community.

The BJP leaders, including Radha Mohan Das Agarwal and Madan Rathore, have emphasized that the new reforms aim to uplift the poor Muslims and improve their socio-economic status. They claimed that the Congress views Muslims as a vote bank, while the BJP aims to empower them with pride and self-respect. The controversy surrounding Waqf properties and the new reforms is likely to continue, with the BJP and Congress parties presenting differing narratives on the issue.
