Punjab Arms License Now Online
In a significant move to enhance transparency and convenience, the Punjab Home Department has introduced an online facility for citizens to apply for changes in their arms licenses, making it easier for individuals to manage their firearm licenses from the comfort of their own homes.
The digital system, developed in collaboration with NADRA, allows citizens to submit online applications for various modifications, including changes in license category, bullet allocation, and license duration extension. The online platform enables tasks such as license transfer, renewal, and duplicate issuance, eliminating the need for in-person visits to government offices. This initiative aims to increase efficiency and transparency in the process, making it more convenient for citizens to manage their arms licenses.
The online module, developed under the Punjab Arms Rules 2023, enables citizens to submit applications for changes in firearm bore, category, and ammunition additions. Additionally, applications for inheritance transfer of weapon licenses and duplicate licenses can also be submitted online. The platform also allows for requests related to the sale of firearms and extensions of license validity across Pakistan, with all necessary documents and legal fees processed digitally.
The introduction of the online facility for Punjab arms license modifications is a significant step towards digitizing government services, making it easier for citizens to access and manage their licenses. This move is expected to reduce the hassle and time associated with manual applications, providing a more streamlined and efficient experience for citizens.
