Eid Ul Adha 2025 In Pakistan: Four-Day Holiday
The four-day holiday will provide an opportunity for people to come together with their families and loved ones, and to engage in charitable acts and prayers, as they celebrate the spirit of sacrifice and obedience that defines Eid ul Adha.

Eidul Azha will be observed on June 7, Saturday, as announced by the moon sighting Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, with a four-day public holiday declared from June 6-9, 2025, by the federal government.
The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee met in Islamabad's Kohsar Block to sight the moon and confirm the date of Eidul Azha, which marks the culmination of Haj, one of the five pillars of Islam. The holiday coincides with the 10th of Zilhaj and will be celebrated with prayers, family gatherings, and charitable acts, including the ritual sacrifice of livestock.
The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that it will remain closed from June 6 to 9, along with all banks, microfinance lenders, and other financial institutions, due to the public holidays. The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has also announced a four-day public holiday for Eid-ul-Azha, to be observed from June 6 to June 9, in line with the federal government's declaration.
The festival of Eid ul Adha is a significant occasion in Pakistan, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God, and is celebrated with great fervor and devotion across the country.
