Eidul Azha, a significant Islamic festival, is expected to be celebrated across Pakistan on June 7, 2025, according to predictions made by the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco). The commission's scientific analysis suggests that the birth of the new moon for Zilhaj will occur on May 27, 2025, at 8:02pm PST, and the 1st Zilhaj is expected to fall on May 29.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, responsible for making the final decision on the moon's sighting, will meet in Islamabad on May 27 to announce the final decision. The committee's decision will be based on eyewitness testimonies and weather conditions. Astronomer Dr Faheem Hashmi also predicts Eid ul Adha on June 7, citing the new moon's unlikeliness to be visible in Pakistan on May 27 due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Eidul Azha marks the culmination of Haj, one of the five pillars of Islam, and is celebrated on the 10th of Zilhaj. The UAE expects the festival to fall on June 6, but in Pakistan, it is likely to be celebrated on June 7. The Zil Hajj moon will be born on May 27 but will be only 11 hours and 34 minutes old at sunset, making visibility almost negligible.

The final decision on the moon's sighting will be announced on May 27, and if the moon of Zul-Hijjah is sighted, Eid will be celebrated on June 6, but if it is not sighted, Eid will be observed on June 7. Pakistanis can expect a joyful celebration of Eidul Azha on June 7, 2025, with the first of Zil Hajj likely to begin on May 29.
