Weather Rawalpindi: Cold Snap Hits KP, Punjab Remains Dry

The temperature has continued to drop in KP, making conditions harsher for residents, with the lowest temperatures recorded in Parachinar, Malam Jabba, and Kalam.
Rain was recorded in Chitral, Kohistan, Bajaur, Dir, and Swat, while snowfall covered mountainous areas of Chitral and Swat. The heaviest snowfall was reported in Kalam, where 17 inches were recorded. Authorities have advised residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions to stay safe during the cold weather.
In contrast, Punjab is expected to experience dry and sunny weather over the next three days, with no rain in the forecast. Lahore experienced partly cloudy weather on Monday, with the Met office forecasting similar conditions for the next 24 hours. A westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of the country, leading to cold and dry weather in most districts of Punjab.
Attock, Rawalpindi, and Jhelum may see partly cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle, while Kashmir, Murree, Galiyat, and nearby areas could experience cloudy weather with light rain or snowfall. Murree recorded the lowest temperature in Punjab at 1°C, while Lahore's temperature ranged from 8.5°C to 25°C.
The weather conditions are expected to remain unchanged over the next few days, with KP experiencing cold and harsh weather, while Punjab remains dry and sunny. Residents are advised to stay safe and take necessary precautions to stay warm during the cold weather.
