Lahore Weather: Rain Hits Twin Cities, Forecast Till May 11
The rain has brought relief to the residents of the twin cities, but the forecast of hot and dry weather for most parts of the country on Saturday has raised concerns about the heat wave, and the authorities have advised residents to take necessary precautions to stay safe during the extreme weather conditions.

Rain accompanied with gusty winds lashed the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Thursday, with the Met Office forecasting the wet spell to continue till May 11, bringing down the temperature to 29°C.
The Met Office recorded significant rainfall in various areas, including 31mm of rain in Chaklala, 23mm in Kutchery, and 22mm in Shamsabad in Rawalpindi, and 10mm in Islamabad Airport, 19mm in Zero Point, 6mm in Saidpur, 13mm in Golra, and 12mm in Bokra. The rain caused a slushy mess on the roads and made them slippery for motorcyclists.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most parts of the country on Saturday, with isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, northeastern and southern Balochistan, southeastern Sindh, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Heavy rainfall and hailstorms may occur at a few locations during this period.
A weather warning has been issued, cautioning that wind, dust storms, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and lightning could damage vulnerable structures. Residents, particularly in vulnerable areas, are advised to remain cautious and monitor weather updates for potential windstorms and flash flooding.
The Lahore weather, although not directly affected, is expected to be partly cloudy with a chance of rain-wind/thunderstorm, while other parts of the country, including Karachi and Balochistan, are bracing for rain, hail, and gusty winds, with hot and humid weather persisting in Karachi.
