A weather system with rain-bearing clouds has entered Pakistan, covering most districts of Punjab with cloudy skies, and the Meteorological Department has forecasted a cloudy day with little chance of rain today, but a greater possibility of showers in Lahore and surrounding districts tomorrow.
The expected rainfall would bring a welcome drop in temperatures, offering a brief respite from the heat, with temperatures in Lahore expected to hover around 9°C as the minimum, with a high of around 24°C. The weather in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains cold and dry, with temperatures dropping as low as -3°C in some areas.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted cold and dry weather for most parts of the country, with very cold conditions expected in hilly areas. The weather will remain cold and dry in Islamabad and surrounding areas, while Punjab will witness cold and dry conditions, with Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas experiencing very cold and partly cloudy weather.
The PMD advises residents in colder regions to take necessary precautions against extreme temperatures, particularly during night hours, as the country experiences a mix of cold and dry weather, with some areas expecting light rain or snowfall in isolated areas.
