The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the minimum amount for Sadaqa-e-Fitr, also known as Fitrana, and Fidya for Ramadan 2025, which is set at Rs240 per person. This announcement was made by renowned religious scholar Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, former Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

According to Mufti Muneeb, the amount for Fidya is based on different commodities, including wheat, barley, dates, and raisins. The Fidyah values for these commodities are Rs240 for wheat flour, Rs700 for barley, Rs4000 for premium dates, and Rs6400 for high-quality raisins. Additionally, Kaffara, or compensation for breaking a fast, requires feeding 60 needy individuals with two meals each.

Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman urged individuals to pay Fitrana, Fidyah, and Kaffara based on their financial capacity. The minimum amount of Rs240 per person for both Fitrana and Fidyah is applicable for those who can afford it. The announcement provides guidance for Muslims in Pakistan to fulfill their religious obligations during the holy month of Ramadan.
