Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across Pakistan, including upper Sindh, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, bringing relief from the heatwave.

The country experienced high temperatures over the past 24 hours, with Turbat recording the highest at 45°C. However, rain and strong winds brought relief from the heat, with intense storms and gusty winds breaking a prolonged heatwave in Punjab. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has cautioned that the lightning risk remains elevated during this period.

Karachi may experience isolated dust and thunderstorms accompanied by rain on Monday evening, with a westerly wave affecting the upper and central parts of the country. Isolated dust-thunderstorms and rain are also expected in Karachi's outskirts in the evening. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted dust storms and thunderstorms with rain in several districts, including Jamshoro, Tando Mohammad Khan, Badin, and others.

In Punjab, the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has warned of potential landslides in Murree and Galiyat due to forecasted heavy rain, and advised tourists to take necessary precautions. Two people have died and 24 others were injured due to windstorms and rain in different cities of Punjab. The PDMA has recommended that citizens follow disaster management plans and guidelines, and has advised residents to avoid being in open areas to minimize risks.

Karachi remains hot and humid, with strong winds expected in the evening, followed by cloudy skies at night. Rain is anticipated in various parts of the city on Monday, bringing much-needed relief from the heat.
