India's weather department has issued a heatwave alert until Wednesday, warning of high temperatures in northern and central states, including Delhi, with maximum temperatures expected to cross 40C, while a local softball game in Beaver Dam will be broadcast without video coverage due to weather conditions.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert, indicating moderate health concerns for vulnerable groups, as the heatwave is expected to last longer and arrive earlier than usual due to global warming and climate change. Delhi is expected to hit 41C on Monday, surpassing last year's average temperature of 37C.

People are advised to take precautions, such as avoiding heat exposure, wearing lightweight clothing, and covering their heads outdoors. The IMD has forecast above-normal temperatures across most of India, with some states expected to see 10-11 heatwave days. Meanwhile, in a separate development, the girls' soccer game against Columbus has been canceled, and the Beaver Dam's softball game against DeForest will be broadcast on 1430 ESPN Beaver Dam.

The heatwave alert serves as a reminder of the importance of taking necessary precautions to stay safe during extreme weather conditions, and the local community is advised to stay tuned for further updates and follow the necessary guidelines to ensure their safety.
