Ramzan Timings: Bank Holiday Hours Announced

The new timings will apply to all banks, DFIs, and microfinance banks, with public dealing hours reduced to accommodate the observance of Ramzan, and will resume regular timings after the 15th of Ramadan.

Updated :

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced new office timings for the month of Ramzan, with banks operating from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays for public dealings.

The revised banking hours will be applicable to all commercial banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks. The public dealing hours will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays. This schedule will remain in effect until the 15th of Ramadan, after which regular timings will resume.

Additionally, the SBP has announced that banks will be closed for public dealing on Monday for the deduction of Zakat, while all employees will attend the office on this day. The reduced office hours are intended to facilitate the observance of Ramzan and ensure that banking services are available to the public during this period.

The revised schedule is expected to provide convenience to the public and enable them to manage their banking transactions during the holy month of Ramzan. The SBP has taken this step to ensure that banking services are available to the public while also respecting the religious obligations of the month.
