Ramadan Bank Timing 2025: Revised Hours Announced
The revised banking hours and Zakat deduction schedule are expected to facilitate the public's banking needs during Ramadan, with banks and other financial institutions adjusting their schedules to accommodate the holy month's requirements, and ensuring that the public can manage their financial transactions efficiently.

The State Bank of Pakistan has announced revised banking hours for the holy month of Ramadan, adjusting schedules to accommodate fasting hours, with banks operating from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.
The revised schedule applies to all commercial banks, development finance institutions, and microfinance banks, and will remain in effect until the 15th of Ramadan. For public dealings, banks will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, with Friday services closing at 12:30 p.m. This adjustment is expected to facilitate the banking needs of the public during the holy month.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways has also revised working hours for reservation offices, with morning and evening shifts on working days and a break on Fridays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for prayers. The shortage of cash in Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in Karachi and other parts of the country has been reported, due to the influx of people withdrawing cash for shopping and household expenses at the start of Ramadan.
Banks had informed customers through social media that their digital channels and ATMs would be unavailable on Sunday for Zakat deduction, and banks will remain closed today for Zakat deduction, with the Zakat Nisab set at Rs 1,79,689 for the Zakat Year 1445-46 AH. However, bank employees will attend office, treating it as a normal working day.
