Bank Time Ramadan 2025: Revised Hours Announced
The revised banking hours will be in effect until the 15th of Ramadan, and the public is advised to plan their financial transactions accordingly, taking into account the reduced hours and potential cash shortages at ATMs.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced revised banking hours for the holy month of Ramadan, with commercial banks, development finance institutions, and microfinance banks operating from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.
The revised hours will be in effect until the 15th of Ramadan, and public dealings will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, and will close at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays. This change in banking hours is expected to facilitate the public during the holy month, allowing them to manage their financial transactions and preparations for Ramadan.
Meanwhile, ATMs in Karachi and other parts of Pakistan have faced a cash shortage due to the influx of people withdrawing money for Ramadan shopping and expenses, particularly to avoid Zakat deduction. The State Bank of Pakistan has reported that there are 19,170 ATMs in Pakistan, and banks had informed customers that their digital channels and ATMs would be unavailable on Sunday for Zakat deduction activity.
The SBP has also announced that banks will be closed for public dealing on Monday for Zakat deduction, but all employees will attend office on this day. The revised banking hours and arrangements are aimed at ensuring a smooth and convenient banking experience for the public during the holy month of Ramadan.
