NADRA Mobile App Replaces Website
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the launch of a new mobile app to provide its services, replacing the existing Pak ID website, in an effort to improve user convenience and combat fraudulent activities.
According to Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the new mobile app will offer various services, including identity cards, NICOP, POC, B-form, and FRC, making it easier for citizens to access these services from the comfort of their homes. The app is particularly designed to address the difficulties faced by overseas Pakistanis in using the website, especially with regards to scanning and uploading fingerprints and documents. The app will also feature measures to prevent the misuse of citizens' personal information.
In addition to the mobile app, NADRA will establish three new regional centers in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gwadar, and Gilgit-Baltistan to improve services in remote areas. The government plans to set up NADRA offices in all districts of the country by March 31, with work already underway to establish offices in the remaining 19 tehsils. Furthermore, NADRA has partnered with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) to enhance transparency and efficiency in public procurement processes through biometric verification services.
The shutdown of the Pak ID website and the launch of the mobile app mark a significant step towards improving NADRA's service delivery and combating fraudulent activities. The new app and regional centers are expected to provide convenient and secure services to citizens, while also streamlining communication and resolving complaints efficiently.
