Microsoft and Asus have collaborated on two new Xbox Ally handheld devices, featuring a seamless gaming experience on Windows, with the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 scheduled to take place on June 8, promising new title reveals and updates on highly anticipated games.

The Xbox Ally handheld devices, part of Project Kennan, are designed to provide a full-screen Xbox experience, hiding the complexities of Windows and allowing users to focus on gaming. The devices feature a 7-inch 1080p screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and VRR support, powered by AMD Ryzen Z2 A and Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processors. The Xbox Ally is designed for 720p gaming, while the Xbox Ally X targets 900p to 1080p gaming.

The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 is expected to reveal new titles, including the launch dates for Gears of War: E-Day and Perfect Dark reboot, as well as new gameplay footage for Fable and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. The event may also provide updates on the highly anticipated Call of Duty game and the story DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Additionally, the showcase could discuss further consolidation of Xbox/PC games on PC.

The Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X handheld devices will launch during the holiday season later this year, with pricing and preorder information to be announced in the coming months. The devices promise to deliver a new level of gaming experience on Windows, with a focus on battery life, featuring 60Wh and 80Wh batteries, respectively.
