Xbox Rog Ally X Unveiled at Xbox Games Showcase 2025
The Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X handheld devices will launch during the holiday season later this year, with pricing and preorder information to be shared in the coming months, offering a new way for gamers to experience their favorite Xbox games on the go.

The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 is scheduled to take place on June 8, featuring a Direct presentation for The Outer Worlds 2 and potentially revealing other highly anticipated titles, including Gears of War: E-Day and Perfect Dark, as well as the new Xbox Ally handheld devices, including the Xbox Ally X.
Microsoft has collaborated with Asus to develop two new Xbox handheld devices, the Xbox Ally and the Xbox Ally X, as part of Project Kennan, which aims to provide a new full-screen Xbox experience on Windows designed for handheld gaming. The devices feature a 7-inch 1080p screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and VRR support, with the Xbox Ally X boasting an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory.
The new Xbox full-screen experience is designed to hide the complexities of Windows, allowing users to easily launch games and access their Xbox console library through Xbox Cloud Gaming or Remote Play. The devices also feature Xbox-like contoured grips, impulse triggers, and a USB-C 4 connector that supports Thunderbolt 4 on the Xbox Ally X. Microsoft and Asus are focusing on battery life, with the Xbox Ally using a 60Wh battery and the Xbox Ally X using an 80Wh battery.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 will stream on various platforms, including GameSpot's YouTube, Xbox's official channels, and Bethesda's channels, starting at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET on June 8. The event is expected to last around an hour, and will provide more information on the new Xbox Ally handheld devices, as well as other upcoming games and projects from Microsoft and its partners.
