Microsoft has introduced Copilot for Gaming, an AI-driven feature designed to enhance gaming through artificial intelligence, currently in beta testing and accessible through the Xbox mobile app for Android and iOS users in several regions.

The tool enables players to engage with the AI through voice commands or text input, providing instant support that aligns with their gameplay, previous sessions, or earned achievements. The assistant aims to support gaming sessions without interrupting the action, providing timely responses to in-game challenges and suggesting new titles to try.

Gamers 18 or older in select regions can now try out the beta version, with plans for expanded availability in the near future. The chatbot can answer queries about games, provide tips to beat a level in a game, and recommend games to play based on the user's gaming history. It can access the user's Xbox activity, including account data, play history, and achievements, and contextualise its responses based on that information.

The feature is currently available in the English language for players aged 18 or older in regions such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the US. Microsoft is testing its Xbox Copilot for Gaming on iOS and Android devices, allowing testers to access the assistant within the Xbox mobile app.

As Microsoft continues to develop and refine Copilot for Gaming, the company aims to provide a more immersive and supportive gaming experience for Xbox users, and the beta testing phase is a crucial step towards achieving this goal.
