Islamabad Weather: Thunderstorms Expected
The forecasted thunderstorms and rain are expected to bring relief from the heat in upper Pakistan, but may also cause disruptions in daily life. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions and stay informed about the latest weather updates.

Thunderstorms and rain are forecasted to affect several cities across the country, including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, and others, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning for residents in affected areas to take precautions against heavy rain and wind-related hazards.
The weather forecast predicts that upper Pakistan, including Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, will experience rain and thunderstorms, with strong winds and hailstorms possible. Punjab will also experience strong winds and rain, while Sindh and Balochistan are expected to remain hot and dry. However, some areas in Balochistan may receive light rain.
The heatwave in southern regions continues, with Sibi recording the highest temperature at 51°C. In contrast, the rain and thunderstorms in the upper regions are expected to bring some relief from the heat. The PMD has advised citizens to take precautionary measures in areas with strong winds or heavy downpours.
Residents in affected areas are advised to stay indoors during heavy rain and strong winds, and to avoid traveling unless necessary. The PMD will continue to monitor the weather situation and provide updates as necessary.
