Ramadan 2025 Pakistan: Revised School Timings Announced
The revised school timings will be implemented across all schools in Punjab and Sindh, with specific schedules for single and double-shift institutions, and adjustments for Fridays, to ensure a smooth and balanced observance of Ramadan.

Pakistan's education authorities have announced revised school timings for Ramadan 2025 in Punjab and Sindh provinces to facilitate students and staff observing fasts while maintaining educational activities.
In Punjab, schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM on weekdays, with Friday classes ending at 12:30 PM. Double-shift schools will have separate timings, with the first shift from 8:30am to 12:00 PM and the second shift from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Female students will be dismissed 15 minutes earlier than the official closing time.
In Sindh, primary schools will function from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while double-shift primary institutions will have morning and afternoon sessions. Secondary, higher secondary, and elementary schools in Sindh will follow identical Ramadan timing patterns. The Sindh Education Department has announced specific timings for single and double-shift schools, with adjustments for Fridays.
The start of Ramadan 2025 is predicted to be on March 2, 2025, but the final decision will be announced by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after sighting the crescent moon on February 28. The revised timings aim to ensure a balance between academic activities and the observance of Ramadan.
The education authorities' decision to revise school timings for Ramadan 2025 is expected to benefit students and staff across Punjab and Sindh, enabling them to manage their academic and religious obligations during the holy month.
