Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, has called for stronger public ties between the United States and Pakistan, emphasizing the need for greater engagement with US businessmen and the Pakistani-American community to strengthen ties between the two countries.

During his visit to the US, Bhutto-Zardari attended the two-day US National Prayer Breakfast event in Washington, where he spoke about the role of faith in his life, particularly in moments of loss. He shared personal reflections on the execution of his grandfather, former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the death of his uncles, and the assassination of his mother, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

Bhutto-Zardari stressed that religion should serve as a force for unity rather than division, highlighting the shared belief in Jesus between Islam and Christianity. He noted that Jesus belongs to both Christians and Muslims, representing a common spiritual ground between the two faiths. His remarks on unity, faith, and resilience resonated with the gathering, emphasizing that religion should serve as a bridge between communities rather than a source of division.
