Bilawal Bhutto Leads Delegation to UN on India Aggression
The delegation's visit comes as part of Pakistan's efforts to present its case abroad, calling for an international role in the region and pleading for the restoration of the Indus Waters Treaty, with a focus on promoting peace, dignity, and justice in the region.

A high-level Pakistani delegation, led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, is set to meet UN Security Council members to discuss Pakistan's stance on recent Indian aggression, promoting a lasting peace in South Asia and highlighting concerns over disinformation campaigns.
The delegation, consisting of nine members, will engage in a series of meetings with global leaders and institutions, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the President of the UN General Assembly, to raise awareness about India's actions and Pakistan's concerns. They will emphasize the importance of dialogue and diplomacy over conflict and confrontation, underscoring the need for the international community to promote lasting peace in the region.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that he is carrying a "clear message" seeking peace with dignity, dialogue with purpose, and partnerships built on justice. The delegation will visit major world capitals, including New York, Washington DC, London, and Brussels, to meet with UN officials, ambassadors, and other leaders to highlight Pakistan's responsible and restrained conduct in the face of India's aggression.
The teams, led by former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Syed Tariq Fatemi, will also stress the need for the international community to play a role in promoting a lasting peace in South Asia and the immediate resumption of the Indus Waters Treaty, which was suspended by India after the Pahalgam attack.
The delegation's efforts aim to promote a peaceful resolution to the conflict, emphasizing the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving disputes between Pakistan and India, and seeking international support for a lasting peace in the region.
