Weather Hyderabad: Rain Alert Issued for Andhra Pradesh

A low-pressure system forming over the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring rain to Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, with favourable conditions prevailing due to southwesterly and westerly winds in the lower troposphere, according to the India Meteorological Department.
The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains on July 7 and forecasts very heavy rains until July 10, with warnings of thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and strong surface winds. Temperatures soared across Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, with Tirupati and Nellore recording the highest at 39°C, but are likely to dip due to the expected weather conditions.
In Hyderabad, light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds are expected until July 10, with a partly cloudy sky and temperatures ranging from 23C to 31C. The India Meteorological Department has also issued a thunderstorm warning for 26 districts in Telangana on July 10, including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, and others.
The weather department has advised citizens to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts. With the expected rain and thunderstorms, residents can expect a respite from the soaring temperatures, but should also be prepared for potential disruptions due to strong surface winds and heavy rainfall.
