Hyderabad is experiencing pleasant, cloudy weather with short rain spells and moderate temperatures, despite a 42% rainfall deficit, with the India Meteorological Department issuing a yellow alert for thunderstorms in several Telangana districts.

The current weather pattern is expected to continue for another week before southwest monsoons gather pace in early July. Isolated thunderstorms and lightning are forecasted for the next three to four days in 12 districts, prompting warnings for residents to stay alert. The Andhra Pradesh region is also bracing for heavy rains and flood risks as the rainy season begins, with forecasts indicating that precipitation is unlikely to cease in the near future.

A surface depression in the northwest Bay of Bengal is expected to develop into a low-pressure area, leading to moderate to heavy rainfall in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and additional rain in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. The Srisailam reservoir is already experiencing heavy flood inflows, with officials urging residents to remain alert due to the evolving situation. The India Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm alert for five districts in Telangana, including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Nizamabad.

In Hyderabad, a generally cloudy sky is forecasted with light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by strong surface winds. Hazy conditions are expected in the morning, with maximum and minimum temperatures predicted to be around 32°C and 24°C respectively. Residents are advised to stay informed about the weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
