Ramayana Train Journey Covers 7,600 km in 17 Days

The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, set to depart from Delhi on July 25, will embark on a 17-day journey covering 7,600 km and stopping at 10 destinations, including Sitamarhi, Buxar, Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Rameshwaram, as part of the Shri Ramayana Yatra tour.
The train will accommodate 150 tourists in AC coaches and offer an all-inclusive package fare starting at Rs 1,17,975. The tour aims to promote unity through tourism, connecting diverse regions and cultural landmarks. The train will have CCTV cameras, on-board security personnel, and healthcare facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for the passengers.
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is set to launch its fifth edition of the Shri Ramayana Yatra on July 25, 2025, a 17-day spiritual train journey covering over 30 sacred locations linked to Lord Ram across India and Nepal. The journey will begin from Delhi's Safdarjung Railway Station and will visit important mythological destinations mentioned in the Ramayana, including Ayodhya, Janakpur, Nashik, and Rameshwaram.
The train will offer multiple ticket classes and premium amenities, including 1st AC coupe and cabin, 2nd AC, and 3rd AC accommodations, with ticket prices ranging from ₹1,17,975 to ₹1,79,515. Each ticket includes rail fare, hotel stays in 3-star facilities, vegetarian meals, air-conditioned road transport, travel insurance, and services of trained IRCTC tour managers.
The IRCTC's Shri Ramayana Yatra is part of its Bharat Gaurav tourism initiative, which has gained popularity since the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya in January 2024. The initiative aims to cater to the rising number of devotees seeking to follow the mythological trail of Lord Ram, promoting unity and cultural understanding through tourism.
