Bank Holiday Schedule: India Observes Regional Festivals
The scheduled bank holidays will impact various parts of the country, with customers advised to plan ahead and utilize digital banking platforms to avoid disruptions, as the nation observes significant regional festivals and commemorations, including the Jagannath Rath Yatra, Remna Ni, and the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Ji.

Banks in various parts of India will be closed on specific days in June and July due to regional festivals and observances, including the Jagannath Rath Yatra and Remna Ni, while a nationwide bank holiday is scheduled for July 6, prompting customers to plan their banking activities in advance to avoid disruptions.
The bank closures will begin on June 27, when banks in Odisha and Manipur will be closed for the Jagannath Rath Yatra, followed by the usual weekend shutdowns. Additionally, banks in Mizoram will be closed on June 30 for Remna Ni, a day of peace that commemorates the signing of the Mizoram Peace Accord in 1986. While the holiday is not applicable nationwide, banks across India will remain closed on Monday, June 30, 2025, except in Mizoram, due to a government holiday.
Further closures are scheduled in July, with banks in Aizawl, Mizoram, closed on June 30 for Remna Ni, and banks in Agartala, Tripura, closed on July 3 for Kharchi Puja. Banks in Jammu and Srinagar will also be closed on July 5 to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Ji, the sixth Guru of the Sikhs. A nationwide bank holiday is scheduled for July 6, and customers are advised to rely on digital banking platforms during this period to conduct online transactions.
To minimize disruptions, customers are encouraged to plan their banking activities in advance, taking into account the regional festivals and observances that may affect bank operations. Online banking services, including fund transfers, ATM and card services, and mobile banking, will remain active during the closures, ensuring that customers can still access essential banking services.
