The seizures were made by a police party from Police Station Khrew, with the registration numbers of the vehicles being JK01F-6266, JK01H-425, JK04C-5897, JK13C-1869, and JK02BC-4548. The drivers of the vehicles, identified as Ashraf Kuttan, Mudasir Wani, Hazim Manzoor Bhat, Shahid Ahmad Teli, and Rameez Ahmad Khanday, were arrested in connection with the case. This operation is part of a larger crackdown on illegal mining activities, with Jammu Police also launching Operation Ploughing, which resulted in the seizure of 10 vehicles and machinery in 48 hours.
In a related development, Srinagar police seized 5 tippers involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Pampore's Patalbagh. A case was registered under FIR NO. 50/2025, and further investigation is underway.
