Traffic Restrictions on 14 Feb for Shab-e-Baraat
The restrictions aim to prevent incidents and ensure smooth traffic management, allowing devotees to offer prayers and flowers at the graves of their relatives without disruptions, while also minimizing inconvenience to the general public.

Nagpur Traffic Police have imposed traffic restrictions from 6 p.m. on February 13 to 6 a.m. on February 14 in Central Nagpur to ensure smooth traffic management and prevent incidents during Shab-e-Baraat, as over a lakh Muslims are expected to visit Mominpura Kabrasthan to offer prayers and flowers at the graves of their relatives.
Vehicular movement near the cemetery will be restricted during the specified period, with roads leading from Golibar Chowk to Mominpura closed for four-wheelers and three-wheelers. Additionally, Chandralok Building to Mohd Ali Sarai Road will remain off-limits for vehicles, and roads coming from Bhagwaghar Chowk, Saifi Nagar, and Guard Line Underbridge will also be closed. However, government vehicles, ambulances, and fire tenders will be allowed unrestricted movement on these routes.
Similar traffic restrictions have been announced in Delhi, where the Delhi Police has issued an advisory for traffic restrictions and diversions in central Delhi from 5 pm onwards on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday in view of Shab-e-Barat. The restrictions will be in place till the conclusion of the event, with traffic movement possibly restricted or diverted on several roads, including Netaji Subhash Marg, SPM Marg, and Khari Baoli Road.
Commuters are advised to avoid areas where the procession will take place and to use public transport to ease road congestion, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for all participants and residents in both cities.
