The celebrations mark a significant milestone in Pakistan's history, with the Lahore Resolution laying the foundation for a separate homeland for Muslims of the Subcontinent. The nation remains committed to the principles of justice, equality, and sovereignty, as it continues to strive for a better future.

President Asif Ali Zardari has vowed to thwart the evil designs of Khawarij and terrorist outfits, stating that the nation and the armed forces have never shied away from any sacrifice for the motherland, during the Pakistan Day celebrations at the President's House.
The celebrations, which marked the adoption of the Lahore Resolution in 1940, were attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Defence Minister Khawajah Asif, and other high-ranking officials. Zardari highlighted the importance of the day and praised the sacrifices made by the nation for independence. He also warned the Khawarij and terrorist outfits that their mischief will be thwarted and expressed solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir and Palestine.
The President appealed to the nation to dedicate their energies to the country's development and to build a Pakistan that is developed and based on justice. The celebrations began with a 21-gun salute in provincial capitals and a 31-gun salute in the federal capital, followed by a special prayer in mosques across the country. A military parade was also held, featuring a fly-past by Pakistan Air Force fighters.
The Lahore Resolution, passed on March 24, 1940, was a pivotal milestone in the Indian freedom movement and the attainment of Pakistan. Crafted by Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Muslim League's leadership, the resolution proposed a formula to secure Muslim interests in a post-British India. The resolution introduced the concept of self-determination, allowing Muslim-majority areas to form their own separate homeland.
As the nation celebrates Pakistan Day with patriotic zeal, the President and Prime Minister have urged national unity and commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous Pakistan. The military leadership has also extended congratulations to the nation, reaffirming their commitment to protecting the country and upholding sovereignty.
