Lahore Weather Brings Rain, Holographic Phones Debut

A westerly wave is expected to bring rain to western parts of the country, including Punjab, with rainfall and snowfall predicted in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while Samsung is set to release the world's first 5G smartphone with a holographic display.
The rain is expected to start on Monday and Tuesday, with dry weather forecast for most districts of Sindh. The National Weather Forecasting Center has issued a warning of heavy rains and snowfall in Pakistan's northern regions, affecting areas such as Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper and central Punjab. The westerly wave is expected to impact these areas for the next 36-48 hours, causing moderate to heavy snowfall, road closures, and slippery conditions.
In other news, the Holo 5G, codenamed by Samsung and US-based holographic display technology firm, Red, is expected to be announced in the coming months, with a release date scheduled for later this year. The phone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels, powered by a 4500mAh battery and a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
The Holo 5G is expected to be priced around $1,500, making it one of the most expensive smartphones on the market, but its holographic display is said to be worth the investment, offering a truly immersive experience for users. The partnership between Samsung and Red is seen as a significant move in the development of holographic technology, which has been gaining traction in recent years.
