Gas Load Shedding Schedule for Ramadan Announced

SSGC has announced a gas load shedding schedule for Ramadan, ensuring uninterrupted supply during Sehr and Iftar hours, with gas available from 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm and from 3:00 am to 9:00 am.

The schedule allows for gas supply to remain uninterrupted during peak meal times, aiming to minimize inconvenience for consumers observing fasts. However, gas supply will be suspended from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm and from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am. The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced the gas supply schedule for the holy month of Ramazan, which starts in less than a week.

The company aims to provide convenience to customers for food preparations during Sehar and Iftaar. However, customers have expressed concerns about the timings, citing difficulties in managing food preparations during the restricted hours. Many have asked the company to reconsider the timings, especially for school-going children, patients, and senior citizens who may not be able to fast.

Residents of Karachi will face gas loadshedding during Ramazan due to a 10% depletion in the country's gas reserves, resulting in a widening gas demand-supply gap. The SSGC aims to provide convenience to people for food preparations during Ramazan, with gas available from 3:30pm to 10pm for Iftar and dinner preparations, and from 3am to 9am for Sehr and breakfast preparations.

The gas load shedding schedule is expected to affect daily life, especially for those who rely heavily on gas for cooking and other purposes. The SSGC has urged consumers to cooperate and manage their gas usage efficiently during the restricted hours.
