Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to ensure strict law and order measures during the upcoming celebrations of Ganga Dussehra, Bakrid, and Jagannath Rath Yatra, emphasizing that no new traditions should be allowed to disturb public order, and the sacrifice of prohibited animals is completely banned.

The CM has asked officials to ensure cleanliness at ghats, proper disposal of waste, and enhanced security arrangements. He also instructed that Namaz should be offered only at traditional and designated locations, not on roads or public places. The UP government aims to balance protecting religious sentiments with maintaining public discipline and ensuring that celebrations remain respectful, secure, and within established traditions and regulations.

Similarly, the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has issued an advisory ahead of Eid al-Adha, restricting animal sacrifice (qurbani) and namaz on roads. Qurbani must be carried out in covered spaces or designated sheds, prohibiting it on public roads or open spaces. The advisory also requires insecticide use after sacrifice, transportation of skinned meat in covered containers, and proper disposal of waste.

The government's efforts to maintain public order and discipline during these celebrations are crucial, and the guidelines issued by the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board and the instructions from the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister are expected to help ensure a peaceful and respectful observance of these festivals.
