The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken decisive action against unauthorized construction and illegal booking of plots in various housing schemes, sealing the marketing office of Capital Smart City Phase-III for violating approved layout plans.

The enforcement squad, acting under the direction of RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza, targeted violations of the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and the Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2021. The sponsor of the scheme was found to be involved in illegal booking of plots and failed to obtain mandatory No Objection Certificates from RDA.

In a separate move, RDA has written to the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) expressing concerns over unlawful activities of private housing schemes in the district, including Blue World City and Faisal Town Phase-2. These schemes are violating the master plan and site development zone plan, posing threats to the environment and natural resources.

The RDA has urged PHATA to cooperate in taking strict legal measures against these schemes, which are hindering sustainable and planned development in Rawalpindi. The public is advised to contact RDA or visit their official website for verification and updates on approved housing schemes to avoid financial losses.
