Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Fold7 with Enhanced Features
The Galaxy Z Fold7's enhanced features, including its thinner design, improved cameras, and new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, make it a significant addition to Samsung's foldable smartphone series, with the device available for pre-order starting July 9 and general availability beginning July 25, offering expanded access to Google AI Pro and 2TB of cloud storage for 6 months at no cost.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Fold7, the latest addition to its foldable smartphone series, boasting a thinnest and lightest design to date, weighing just 215 grams and measuring 8.9mm in thickness when folded, featuring advanced cameras and a new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
The device features a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display and an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display, providing a seamless on-the-go experience. The Galaxy Z Fold7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, delivering performance boosts of 41% in NPU, 38% in CPU, and 26% in GPU compared to the previous generation. It also features a 200MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 10MP 100° camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera, allowing for high-quality photos and videos.
The device runs on the new One UI 8, which is context-aware and naturally responsive, optimized for the Galaxy Z Fold7's flexible format and expansive screen. It also features advanced AI capabilities, including Gemini Live, Circle to Search, and Drawing Assist, which provide a more intuitive and immersive way to interact with AI. The Galaxy Z Fold7 will be available for pre-order starting July 9, with general availability beginning July 25, and will come in four color options: Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jetblack, and Mint (online exclusive).
The Samsung Unpacked event saw the announcement of several new devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Watch 8, and Watch 8 Classic, all of which debut Samsung's One UI 8, bringing a new look and increased Gemini AI integration. With the Galaxy Z Fold7 starting at $2,000, Samsung is set to unveil its latest Galaxy devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York on July 9, 2025.
