Samsung's whatmobile Galaxy S24 Series Gets AI Filters
The introduction of AI Filters and log video recording features in the Galaxy S24 series highlights Samsung's focus on enhancing the camera capabilities of its devices, and the potential rollout to older models could bring these features to a wider range of users, further enhancing their mobile photography experience.

Samsung has introduced AI Filters in Camera feature in the One UI 7 Beta 4 changelog for the Galaxy S24 series, indicating a potential rollout to older Galaxy S and Z-series phones, allowing users to style the final look of images with a software-side feature that doesn't require significant processing power.
The feature, similar to iPhone's photographic styles, enables users to customize the look of their images, and its availability on older devices such as the S23, S22, and S21 series, as well as Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 and later, is likely due to its software-based nature. This move suggests that Samsung is working to provide a more consistent user experience across its flagship devices.
In addition to the AI Filters feature, Samsung has also released a fifth One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series, which fixes a bug that caused Visual Voicemail to crash. The update, available for U.S. users on AT&T and Verizon, has a relatively small size of around 450MB and is available for devices enrolled in the beta program.
Furthermore, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is reportedly getting a new camera feature with the fourth One UI 7 beta update, called log video recording, which allows users to capture videos in a logarithmic color profile, resulting in flat and desaturated footage that retains a high dynamic range. This feature, first introduced in the Galaxy S25 series, is now being added to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but is not available on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models.
As Samsung continues to refine its One UI 7 update, users can expect to see more features and improvements rolled out to their devices. While the company has not announced a public release date for One UI 7, the ongoing beta updates suggest that a wider rollout may be on the horizon, bringing new capabilities to a range of Samsung devices.
