Andhra Pradesh's Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav urged doctors to champion public health, setting targets for Vision 2047, and presented Best Doctor Awards to ten eminent doctors for their contributions to healthcare and medical education.

The minister referred to doctors as "warriors in white coats" and asked them to enhance the quality of life through proper orientation and attitudes. He expressed concern over Andhra Pradesh lagging behind in certain Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including HIV incidence, traffic accident deaths, and suicide rates. The government targets for Vision 2047 include increasing the average life span to 85, reducing maternal mortality ratio, infant mortality rate, and out-of-pocket health expenditure.

National Doctors' Day was celebrated at SITAM Engineering College in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, where prominent doctors spoke about the importance of doctors in Indian culture and society. They highlighted the sacrifices and dedication of doctors and the impact of their service on patients' lives. The event also featured felicitations for doctors who have made significant contributions to the medical field.

Minister for Health Satya Kumar Yadav called for a change in attitude towards doctors, saying they toil hard for the health of people. He addressed students at Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada on National Doctors' Day, emphasizing the importance of respecting health professionals. The Minister assured that the government would take strict action against healthcare staff for dereliction of duties or neglecting patients.

The government's efforts to overhaul the healthcare system, including transferring over 7,000 healthcare staff and meeting goals set for Swarnandhra, were also highlighted. The Minister felicitated ten eminent doctors for their contribution to healthcare services and medical education, recognizing their dedication and hard work.
