Nepal's weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy today, with chances of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in several regions, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. The monsoon effect is active across the country, with heavy to very heavy rainfall predicted at one or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The current weather pattern is influenced by monsoon winds, with generally cloudy skies expected in hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces. Few places in Koshi and Bagmati Provinces are predicted to experience heavy rainfall, while other provinces will see light to moderate rainfall. Thunderstorms with light to moderate rain are likely in some places of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at isolated places elsewhere.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has projected that around two million people could be affected by monsoon-related disasters, with the districts of Lumbini province expected to be the most affected. Nepal's Kavrepalanchowk and Sindhupalchowk districts have been put on alert due to a warning of heavy rainfall in the Tibet region, with the District Administration Offices in both districts issuing alerts and advising residents to be vigilant and remain alert till Saturday.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted above-normal monsoon rainfall in the region, and security and rescue personnel are on standby for deployment. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay informed about the latest weather updates to ensure their safety during this monsoon season.
