BISP 8171 Portal: CNIC Verification for Secure Payments

The BISP 8171 Web Portal has been introduced to facilitate the payment process of 13500 to eligible women through a transparent and technology-based process, allowing beneficiaries to verify their payment status and eligibility from home.

To use the portal, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including being a female head of the household, possessing a valid CNIC, and having a poverty means test (PMT) score of 34 or less. The portal provides a step-by-step guide to verify payment status, including visiting the official website, entering the 13-digit CNIC number, solving a captcha code, and clicking on the "Check Status" button.

The BISP payments for June 2025 are being distributed in three phases to ensure security, speed, and service quality. Beneficiaries must collect their payment before June 30, 2025, as missing the deadline may result in cancellation or delay of their installment. The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is introducing a retail payment system from June 16, replacing cash transfer methods, to ensure safer, more convenient, and dignified payments for beneficiaries.

Director General (DG) Benzir Income Support Programme (BISP) Punjab Muhammad Nasir Khalily conducted a surprise visit to retail payment points in Lahore's Shalamar area to monitor the disbursement process of quarter 4 payments under the Benazir Kafalat Programme. He inspected facilities, engaged with beneficiaries, and oversaw payments to ensure transparency and dignified services.

The introduction of the BISP 8171 Web Portal and the retail payment system demonstrates the government's commitment to providing secure, convenient, and dignified financial assistance to deserving families, and the CNIC verification process plays a crucial role in ensuring the transparency and integrity of the payment process.
