Hyderabad Duo Foils Terror Plot, Arrested for Bomb Blasts
The plot was uncovered through a combination of intelligence gathering and online monitoring, with the suspects having used e-commerce platforms to procure bomb-making materials. The investigation is ongoing, with the police working to determine the full extent of the plot and any potential connections to other individuals or groups.

A terror plot was foiled in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh with the arrest of two individuals, Sameer from Hyderabad and Siraj Ur Rehman from Vizianagaram, who were allegedly planning to carry out bomb blasts, with the duo having procured bomb-making materials online and stored them at their residence.
The police intervention came after intelligence officials learned of the conspiracy, leading to the arrest of the suspects. During interrogation, it emerged that they were planning a terrorist strike, although they had not yet decided on the time or location. The two are self-radicalized and have no known affiliations with any terrorist organization.
The seized materials included aluminium powder and sulphur powder, which were found at Rehaman's house. The duo was booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, and the Explosive Substances Act of 1908. The police are investigating their links to banned organisations and terror groups, although the duo's self-radicalized nature suggests a lone-wolf style operation.
The arrest of the two individuals has prevented a potential terrorist attack, and the police are continuing their investigation to uncover any further details about the plot and potential connections to other groups or individuals. The case highlights the need for continued vigilance and cooperation between law enforcement agencies to prevent such threats.
