S 400 Missile System Pakistan Destroyed in Retaliatory Strike

The destruction of the S-400 missile system in Pakistan's retaliatory strike has significant implications for the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. The use of hypersonic missiles to destroy the system highlights the escalating tensions and the use of advanced weaponry in the conflict. The agreement to stop all firings and military actions is a positive step towards de-escalation, but the situation remains volatile.

Pakistan's military has launched a series of retaliatory strikes, codenamed "Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos," against Indian military sites, including the S-400 air defense system in Adampur, which was destroyed using hypersonic missiles. The strike is part of Pakistan's response to Indian attacks on Pakistani territory, targeting mosques and residential areas.

The Indian government had earlier refuted social media claims that Pakistan destroyed its S-400 air defense system, labeling the reports as baseless misinformation. However, Pakistan's military spokesperson confirmed that the S-400 system, valued at $1.5 billion, was indeed destroyed in the retaliatory strike. The strike also targeted and destroyed several other Indian military sites, including the BrahMos missile storage, airfields, and artillery positions.

The escalation between India and Pakistan has been ongoing, with the closure of the Wagah land border, revocation of Pakistani visas, and suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. Pakistan claimed to have downed five Indian fighter jets, including four Rafale aircraft, and intercepted and neutralized 77 Israeli-made Harop drones allegedly launched by India. The operation is aimed at targeting bases identified as launch points for attacks on civilians and mosques.

In a separate development, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully executed its assigned tasks with precision and professionalism during Operation Sindoor, a military operation launched on May 7, 2025, to destroy seven terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. The operation was conducted in a deliberate and discreet manner, aligned with national objectives.

India and Pakistan have agreed to stop all firings and military actions on land, air, and sea, with immediate effect. The IAF urges people to refrain from speculation and dissemination of unverified information, and the government has asked users to verify any sensitive claims before sharing them further.
