India Deploys S400 Defense System Against Pakistan
The S-400 system can track and destroy a wide range of targets, including stealth fighters, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles, and can monitor up to 300 targets at once and engage 36 targets simultaneously, providing a robust defense against airborne threats.

India has put its defense systems on high alert, anticipating potential retaliation from Pakistan, and has successfully used its S-400 surface-to-air missile systems to neutralize 15 missiles launched by Pakistan towards Indian cities.
The Indian armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any Pakistani misadventures, with a senior officer warning that Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir may feel compelled to authorize a response to rally support in his country. The Strategic Forces Command, which handles the country's nuclear arsenal, is also on high alert, and the air defense network is activated, warships are deployed in the Arabian Sea, and frontline units are prepared along the border.
The S-400 system, also known as "Sudharshan Chakra," has been operationalized by the Indian Air Force and has been deployed along the Pakistan and China borders. The system successfully neutralized the incoming missiles, while Israeli HARPY drones targeted and disabled Pakistani air defense systems, including one in Lahore. This action comes after Pakistan attempted to target Indian military installations in 15 cities, including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Gujarat.
India's defense minister, Rajnath Singh, said that nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were destroyed, and over 100 terrorists were killed in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. The S-400 system, designed by Russia's Almaz-Antey, is one of the most sophisticated long-range air defense systems in the world, offering multi-layered protection against airborne threats.
The successful deployment of the S-400 system demonstrates India's enhanced readiness to respond to any misadventure, and its ability to protect its citizens and territory from external threats. The Indian Air Force's S-400 Sudarshan Chakra air defense missile system has played a crucial role in intercepting and neutralizing missiles fired by Pakistan, and its operationalization is a significant boost to India's defense capabilities.
