Pakistan's military spokesperson, ISPR DG Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has dismissed India's accusations of cross-border terrorism, calling them politically motivated and lacking credible evidence, as tensions escalate between the two nations.

The rejection comes after India launched attacks on six locations within Pakistan, targeting civilians, which Pakistan's military responded to by downing 25 Indian drones and destroying Indian brigade headquarters, checkposts, and aircraft. The strikes resulted in 31 civilian casualties and 57 injuries in six locations, with Pakistan's military also claiming to have destroyed 5 Indian jets.

The situation remains tense, with flight operations suspended at several airports, including Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot, and the US Consulate General in Lahore directing personnel to shelter-in-place due to reports of drone explosions and possible airspace incursions. Pakistan's Information Minister, Ataullah Tarar, has assured the National Assembly that the country's safety is in strong hands and that it will respond befittingly to India's aggression.

The Pakistan Airports Authority has suspended flight operations at four airports until 6 pm on May 8, and the Punjab government has started mock exercises by the Civil Defence and Rescue 1122 across the province to ensure preparedness for any emergency. Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan has stated that Pakistan has the right to self-defense under the UN Charter and can take all necessary measures, condemning India's aggressive behavior and warning that it has brought two nuclear powers to the brink of conflict.

As the situation continues to escalate, Pakistan has urged the international community to hold India accountable for its actions, which it claims include cross-border terrorism and drone strikes on Pakistani cities, killing civilians. The country remains on high alert, with its military prepared to respond to any further aggression from India.
